Catch Errors Before Users
API failures cascade to mobile apps, websites, and integrations. Be the first to know about issues - not your users or customers.
Your APIs power mobile apps, integrations, and critical business processes. AlertsDown monitors your API endpoints 24/7, checking availability, response times, and status codes. Get alerted instantly when something breaks.

Response time creeping up? AlertsDown tracks performance over time so you can identify degradation before it becomes an outage.
Track the HTTP status returned by each check so server errors and unexpected status changes are visible in your history.
When your REST API, GraphQL endpoint, or webhook receiver goes down, the impact spreads fast. Mobile apps stop working. Partner integrations fail. Automated workflows break. And you might not know until the support tickets start flooding in.
AlertsDown monitors public API endpoints with checks as frequent as every minute on paid plans. We record whether the endpoint responds, its HTTP status code, and response time so failures are visible in your history.
| Feature | What We Check | Why It Matters |
|---|---|---|
| Endpoint Availability | HTTP/HTTPS requests | Know immediately when APIs become unreachable |
| Status Code Validation | 2xx, 3xx, 4xx, 5xx | Catch server errors and unexpected responses |
| Response Time | Millisecond precision | Detect performance degradation early |
| SSL Monitoring | Certificate expiry | Prevent HTTPS failures from expired certs |
| Check History | Status and response-time records | Review recent availability and performance |
Your customers integrate with your API. Downtime means broken customer workflows and angry support tickets. Monitor proactively to protect your reputation.
Your app is only as reliable as its backend API. Monitor endpoints to ensure your users always have a working app experience.
Payment APIs, inventory systems, shipping integrations - modern e-commerce depends on dozens of API connections. Monitor them all.
Add external API monitoring to your observability stack. AlertsDown provides the outside-in perspective your internal metrics might miss.

Add a public API endpoint in minutes. Free Builders covers up to 10 monitors with up to 10 email alerts per month; Indie adds Telegram, SMS, and webhooks, while Saas also adds WhatsApp.
AlertsDown can monitor any HTTP/HTTPS endpoint including REST APIs, GraphQL endpoints, webhooks, and health check URLs. If it responds to HTTP requests, we can monitor it.
Currently AlertsDown monitors publicly accessible endpoints. For authenticated APIs, we recommend creating a dedicated health check endpoint that doesn't require authentication, which is a common pattern for monitoring.
Check frequency depends on your plan. Free plans check every 5 minutes, while paid plans can check as frequently as every minute. More frequent checks mean faster detection of issues.
AlertsDown records availability, the returned HTTP status code, response time, and connection errors. Response-body assertions and authenticated requests are not currently supported.
Configure alerts via email, SMS, Telegram, or WhatsApp. For critical APIs, many teams use Telegram for instant notifications with SMS as a backup channel for maximum reliability.
