Frequently Asked Questions
Can I change plans later?
You can upgrade whenever you need more monitors or channels—new limits unlock as soon as your payment succeeds. Downgrades are scheduled for the next renewal so you always get the full period you already paid for.
Is there really a free plan?
Absolutely. The free plan lets you monitor up to 1 URL with 10 email alerts per month. No credit card required, no time limit. It's perfect for personal projects or getting started.
What happens when my trial ends?
We'll remind you before your trial ends. If you decide not to continue with that paid plan, you can move back to the Free plan at any time—your monitors, contacts, and history stay intact.
Do monthly and annual trials differ?
Yes. Some plans include a longer trial when you pick annual billing. The pricing cards show the exact trial length for the billing mode you select, so switch between Monthly and Annual to compare.
How does billing work?
Pick monthly for pay-as-you-go or switch to annual to lock in the savings shown on each card (currently about 20%). Annual subscriptions are billed upfront for 12 months and you can cancel before the renewal date to stop the next charge.
What notification channels are available?
Email alerts are included on every plan. Paid tiers add advanced channels such as SMS, webhooks, and team chat integrations (WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack). Availability is noted on each plan card, and you can mix and match channels per monitor.
Which plans include hosted MCP access?
Hosted MCP is available on supported paid plans. Look for the Hosted MCP access feature on the plan card. Once your plan includes it, you can create a single active per-user API key from My Account and connect Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Windsurf, or another Streamable HTTP MCP client.
What happens if I hit my plan limits?
We'll warn you in-app when you're nearing URL or notification limits. Existing checks keep running—you can archive unused monitors or upgrade to raise the limit whenever you're ready.
Need help with billing or refunds?
Email support@alertsdown.com and we'll review your account history to sort out prorated changes, billing adjustments, or refunds if something went wrong.
