The details
Every field is filled in automatically at the moment of detection: the service name you gave the monitor, the literal status down, and a detection timestamp in UTC so distributed teams read it unambiguously.
That is enough context to know which service went down and when, straight from your lock screen.
What to do next
Open the monitor in AlertsDown to investigate the cause and review the incident history. Recovery alerts are off by default. If enabled for the monitor, a recovery message follows three consecutive successful checks when a downtime alert was delivered, subject to your plan's notification limits.

Can I mute WhatsApp alerts during certain hours?
AlertsDown doesn't currently include a quiet-hours scheduler for WhatsApp. To silence alerts at night, mute the chat or use your phone's notification schedules, or adjust which channels each monitor uses during off-hours.
What happens if my phone is offline when an alert fires?
WhatsApp typically holds undelivered messages and delivers them when your phone reconnects, subject to WhatsApp's own delivery behavior. If you might be offline during critical outages, pair WhatsApp with SMS, which doesn't require a data connection.
Are WhatsApp alerts more reliable than SMS?
They serve different situations. SMS can reach phones without an internet connection, while WhatsApp needs data or Wi-Fi but lands in a richer, familiar inbox. Many teams configure both so a critical outage is covered either way.
Can multiple team members receive the same WhatsApp alert?
Yes - each team member adds and verifies their own WhatsApp number, and you can enable multiple verified contacts on the same monitor. WhatsApp group delivery isn't currently supported; for shared channels, Telegram groups are an alternative.
